Olive Cheese Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 large loaf of French bread
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 1 pound Monterey Jack cheese, grated
  • 1 can (4.25 ounces) chopped black olives
  • 1 can (4.25 ounces) chopped green olives
  • 2 tablespoons olive brine
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325Β°F (163Β°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, mayonnaise, chopped green onions, grated Monterey Jack cheese, chopped black olives, chopped green olives, olive brine, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. Slice the loaf of French bread in half lengthwise. Spread the olive and cheese mixture evenly over both halves of the bread.
  4. Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Slice and serve warm.
