โ 3/4 cup raisins

1. Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Lightly grease a large baking sheet.
2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the softened butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
3. In a small bowl, beat the buttermilk and egg together. Add this to the flour mixture, stirring just until moistened. Fold in the raisins.
4. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead slightly. Form the dough into a round shape and place on the prepared baking sheet. Cut an โXโ into the top of the loaf with a sharp knife.
